Finally, my last week in the office, the sun is shining, and we're in the middle of a heat-wave. It’s actually hotter here in Sheffield than Singapore and I'm trying to avoid doing any more work than necessary.
Only a few days ago I was booking my flight to Budapest, although I started planning this trip as soon as I heard I'd got my university place. I'm going back to University in September to study Adult Nursing. Not even seven months have passed since I came back from India after travelling for a year, but already, I am off again! When I returned, I promised myself that if I got a place on the course I would go away for the summer. I have to admit, initially Europe didn’t seem nearly as exciting as Asia, which is a continent I long to see more of, having barely scraped the surface. But due to the short notice and the seasons in some places, I'm sticking to seeing what’s on my doorstep. I might not have so many tales to tell about culture shock, but the real adventure will be throwing myself into training for a new career when I get back.
I'm quite glad of the crazy temperatures here, hoping it gives me a chance to acclimatise to the heat a bit, its supposed to be 40c in Budapest on Sunday. That is just crazy.
